Climate of Curacao

Located in the tropics, just 12° above the equator, but outside the hurricane zone, Curacao has a warm and sunny climate with an average 24-hour temperature of 27 ° (85 ° F). There is an almost constant trade wind blowing from the east, which increases in force during the spring. The rainy season lasts from October to February and is characterized by short, most nocturnal rain, but the sun quickly takes over. The average annual rainfall is about 550 mm (22 inches). Occasionally a tropical storm elsewhere in the Caribbean Sea brings clouds and rain with it for a few days, but this happens rarely. In the autumn of 2010 Curacao did indeed suffer from the aftermath of Tropical Storm "Thomas".

The weather cannot be reliably predicted for longer than one week, but averages give a good insight into what to expect.
